Simplify Your Life

Here’s some tips on How to Simplify Your Life:

  • Think about your values and write down those that really matter to you. What is most important? Spending time with family? Accumulating great wealth? Achieving powerful influence? Acquiring possessions? Expressing yourself? Learning new ideas? Experiencing adventure and travel? Maintaining excellent health? Socializing with friends? Contributing to the community? You can’t do them all. Cut out activities that aren’t consistent with your core values.

  • Write a list of goals you’d like to achieve. Focus on doing a few really well, rather than a lot in a mediocre way. You can’t add hours to the day, but you can cut down on activities.

  • Say no instead of yes. People agree to requests from others because they like to please them. Instead, realize that you have a right to say no. Creating plans or policies makes saying no easier. (”I’m sorry, I already have a financial planner.” “I’m sorry, we already have a plan for giving to charities.”)

  • Stop being a slave to communication tools. Do you really need an office phone, a home phone, a cellular phone, pager, fax, e-mail and internet ICQ technology?

  • Give away clerical tasks to others who can handle non-priority activities.

  • Stop spending time to save money. Instead, spend money to save time. Don’t drive across town to save a few cents on a grocery item. It’s not worth your time. Do hire someone to do chores you’re not fond of.

  • Cancel subscriptions to magazines you never get around to reading. Only read one newspaper per day.

  • Cut back on television time. Only watch those shows you decide on beforehand. Circle them in the television-listing magazine. Then turn off the television when the program is over. Cancel extra cable television packages for channels you rarely watch. Go for broke. Give up watching television altogether.

  • Clean out your basement or your office. If you’re not using something, get rid of it. Put an expiry date on items when you can’t decide to keep them or not. Get rid of them when the expiry date arrives.

  • Quit organizations that aren’t contributing to your advancement, your network or your fun.

  • Automate repetitive, clerical, mechanical tasks. For instance, set up automatic bill payments. Include your automatic savings plan as part of your monthly spending.

  • Make a plan for the weekend that doesn’t involve work. Plan to spend more time with your family or with people who make positive contributions to your life. Stop spending time with people who are a drain on your energy or vitality.

  • Carry a smaller wallet or purse. Start by cleaning out the one you’ve got. Get rid of unnecessary credit cards and other clutter that you don’t use regularly.

  • Stop checking up on your financial portfolio every day. Most people invest for the long term. Checking your results daily adds to stress and might lead to expensive and unnecessary changes.

  • Make time for yourself. Set aside time each day to reflect quietly, go for a walk, plan for your future or meditate. Visit the park instead of the mall.

  • Cut back on debt. Consolidate your different debts into one and pay it off. Put your credit cards in a spot where you won’t be able to use them until you’re debt-free. Track your expenses for a month, then cut back your spending on items you don’t need. For instance, pack a lunch rather than buying one at work. Mix and match your outfits rather than constantly buying new ones.

  • Consider renting a vacation home rather than buying. You won’t be burdened by time (and money) spent in maintenance. Also, this allows you to visit a different spot each year.

  • Plan time for a vacation every year. Some people claim “I haven’t had a vacation in three years” as if it was a badge of courage. It isn’t.

  • Cut back on your children’s planned activities. If they have to use a time planner to schedule their activities, and you spend all of your time taxiing them around, they’re probably too busy.

  • Live closer to your work so you don’t have to drive.

  • Take a moment each day to be grateful.

There are many tips as written above for us to not just ponder but taking actions. So, today, pick one of the tips up there and commit to start doing it NOW. Remember: Your Success is In Your Hands, So Take Actions Now!

Are You Comfortable With Yourself Now?

Are you feeling comfortable with who you are and what you have now? If the answer is YES, then you are in your COMFORT ZONE. Is this good or bad for you? Let’s listen to what Brian Tracy, a world famous speaker and author talks about our COMFORT ZONE…

Now tell me what do you think…

Remember last week your assignment is to find someone that can help coaching you. Have you found your coach already? If not, STOP reading further and go find someone that you respect and ask them to be your coach and in return, offer yourself to be their coach as well. Now this process will help you learn to be a Great Coach. You can click on the below green icon showing “Share This” and then you can email your friends or potential coach to get them to read the Success Moments ezine and then once they understand the purpose, you can ask them to be your coach.

Once you have someone ready, now here are some of the steps that I want you to take:

1. Draft out a contract stating both (if you coach each other) will be responsible for their own success and will put in all your effort to take actions on the tasks or activities that you have committed to your coach. Sign your name on it.

2. Decide what is the duration of your coaching session and how frequent you want to have this session. My suggestion is to start with max. 1 hour every week.

3. Next tell your coach about the goals and what are the immediate goals that you want to achieve in short term (such as 30 - 90 days)

4. Then, you need to commit to do the actions that will bring you towards your goals. It may be something that you are not comfortable to do. Remember the video above, a Leader always find things that are out of their comfort zone to do. So, once you continue to do that, these tasks will no longer be uncomfortable. That’s how you will grow and attain success.

5. So, as a coach you will push your coachee to move out if their comfort zone and achieve more.

This week I want you to do the above 5 steps and let me know whether it works or not. I can tell you it will definitely works but it doesn’t mean that everything will suddenly flow smoothly. You’ll definitely have obstacles but if you persists, you will definitely taste success. Have you seen the motivational video on the handicapped dancers? If not, CLICK HERE to check it out. Lastly, here is a video to show you that we can perform more than what we believe we can do and you just need a coach to push us through to our SUCCESS.

Your Decision is Shaping Your Destiny…

Have you listen to Tony Robbins talk about our Belief system in my previous Success Moments?
If not, please go and check it out here: …

Today, you going to listen to him speaking again at this special talk where he speaks to the CEOs of the leading technology companies. Before you start, I want you to take a pen and a piece of paper and write down the key points that you learn from this video.

Are you ready? (Note: if your internet connection is slow, you can click play then press pause and wait till the red meter is complete then play again so that you can listen to what Tony says clearly)

Here’s Tony Robbins…

He really speak fast, right? However, he does cover a lot of important points to help us get our success. If needed, you may replay and listen again.

Now the Key Point that I want to emphasize is “Decision shapes your destiny”. Your DECISION to take actions! And, now my question to you is “Have you make up your mind to go after what you want?”

We have been talking about goal setting or new year resolution since the beginning of this year and by now you should make up your mind to go after what you want, right? NOW, it is the DECISION time not tomorrow, not after the coming Chinese New Year,…

The DECISION that you make now is going to shape your FUTURE. So, if you are clear what future you want to have then you have to make that decision now. I have known a lot of people that want to have many things in their life but when come to making decision to take action, they will just delay the decision making and by the time, they realize it, they are seeing an old face in the mirror.

During a survey done on the people age 60s and above, they were asked, “what are one thing that you going to do if you are able to turn back the clock for 30 years?” Majority of them say that they wish they would take more risk and make the decisions that they keep postponing. So, now do you have an action that you are postponing that you know if you take that step, it will lead you to the goal that you want?

You don’t have to answer me but you owe that answer to yourself.

Make that Decision Now and Make Your Goals Come True!!!

The Success Principles

We are going to learn about the Success Principle from the famous author, Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup Books). Watch and listen carefully what he talks about the key principles of success.

There’s a few key learnings from this video but one point hits me the hardest. This one point is that we do not succeed due to not taking actions. My last video on New Year Resolution teaches you how to set an effective new year resolution or your personal goals but a goal plan will always remain a plan if there is no action taken.

Now, my question to you is “Have you start making your goals for this year using the method that you learn?”. If not, you better start doing it Right Now, not tomorrow.

If you have done so, that’s great but have you put your actions into your diary or scheduler and start carry out the actions towards your goals. If not, when are you going to START doing that? I hope the answer is NOW. If not, all these learning that you have and time you spend reading this Success Moments or watching our learning videos is purely a waste of time only.

So, in this year I want you to set a goal which is one of the most important principle of success which is to TAKE ACTION. If your mobile phone allows you to do so, I want you to change your phone welcoming message to “TAKE ACTION NOW” or “TAKE MASSIVE ACTIONS” or “TAKE ACTION TODAY”. This will serve as a reminder to you every morning when you switch on your phone, you will see this message. Or you can take some 3M Post-it notes and stick them in front of your work desk, computer, mirror, etc. This will be your simple assignment. When are you going to do all these? You know what answer it should be, right?

Remember, my wish for this year is to coach more people to be successful. Don’t waste your life away. Now, there’s one more inspirational video for you.
