A “Kung Fu Panda” PRESENT for You!

“Yesterday is history,

Tomorrow is a mystery,

but Today is a gift.

That is why it is called the present.”

by Master Oogway from Kungfu Panda movie.

TODAY is the greatest GIFT that you have daily but what do you do with it?

Sometimes when we receive something so often (every day) that we do not know how to appreciate it any more. For example, when we receive so many similar gifts then we will value less of that particular gifts because we human tend to value scarcity, right? That’s why we always always put away the Greatest Gift (Today) that we have because we know we are going to have plenty of them.

Now, think of it this way. When suddenly you know that this greatest gift is going to be taken away, how would you react to this situation? I want you to think and get a piece of paper and write down what are you going to do if this is the last gift left for you. In short, you are not going to receive any new gift or present what are you going to do with the last gift?

….. Stop now and start think and write this down.

.

..

….

…..

……

…….

Now, take each of these items and come up with action plans on how to achieve them now.

Remember from now on, live each day as if it is your last and live it with passion!

Visualize, Act as If & Take Massive Actions (VAT)

With recent posting of Jack Canfield’s article, I would like to share with you my own experience. There are three important steps that I personally used all the time. They are:

  1. Visualize
  2. Act As If
  3. Take Massive Action

Visualize

All things are being created twice. First in our mind and before being created in real form. Just look at the products that we enjoy today. They are an idea in someone’s mind before they are being created, right? Same thing happen to us and our dreams and goals. First, we must be able to visualize as vividly as possible what our life is going to be like even before it actually happens. One of the useful tool you can use is called Visual Board. You can just get a piece of card board and then cut out the pictures of the things that will remind you of your goals. For me, I use microsoft powerpoint and create a page of pictures that remind me of my goals. For example, one of my goal is to speak in a new country every year. So, I’ll put up the picture of the country that I want to speak in and sometimes because of kiasu mentality so I put a few countries’ pictures that I want to speak in.

Act As If

After visualize my goal then what I will do is to Act As If I am a renowned speaker and I continue to visualize the process of being invited by different companies from the countries that I wanted to speak in. Then, I will act as if I am already that speaker and I imagine how I impress the audience with my training and how I help my clients improve and deliver results that they wanted.

Some people think this may be something crazy because it is just pure a mind play only. When I started off, there is a small voice saying that to me too but, luckily there’s another louder voice told me, “what do you got to lose if these visualization didn’t come true?” So, what the heck? I just do it anyway. Any how I guarantee you will definitely feel good feeling about it. But don’t stop there. The next step is a very important step to convert your dreams or visualization into REALITY.

Take Massive Actions

If you miss out this one step, I can guarantee you almost 100% your dreams will not come true. After you take the second step of Act As If then you can analyze your current state compare to what you want to be, basically you will know the gaps that you need to Take Massive Actions to close the gaps. Normally, I would map out during my own coaching session and this is a very structure way on how let your gaps show up so that we can come up with actions roadmap for yourself.

This is not a guarantee easy way but I guarantee if you seriously follow these three steps, it will move you closer towards your goals. Now back to the one goal that I set few years ago about speaking in a new country a year in order to become an international speaker. I actually realize that dream 6 months after I set the goal and frankly, when I set the goal I have no idea on how to achieve that goal at all. And, thank God while taking these three steps that I share with you, today I have spoken in 10 countries now. In fact, I have the chance to speak in more countries but I have to turn down due to my heavy schedule. I am sharing with you this story is to inspire you to take these three steps and start realize your dreams too.

Act to Create It

I have just read a inspiring articles from Jack Canfield and would like to share this article with you. Read on…

If you want to live a dream life, not only must you decide what you want, turn your dream into measurable goals, break those goals down into specific action steps, and visualize and affirm your desired outcomes — you must start taking action!

I recommend making the commitment to do something every day in at least three different areas of your life that moves you in the direction of your goal.

If one of your goals is physical fitness, make a commitment to do some sort of exercise — aerobics, weight training, stretching — four to five times a week for a minimum of twenty minutes.

I read recently that if you simply go for a 30 minute walk four times a week, that would put you in the top 1% of those people getting physical exercise!

If your goal is financial independence, start saving and investing a portion of your income every month with no exceptions.

If your goal is to write a book, write for a minimum of one hour every day.

DON’T LET FEAR STOP YOU

Most people never get what they want because they let their fears stop them. They are afraid of making a mistake, looking foolish, getting ripped off, being rejected, being hurt, wasting their time, and feeling uncomfortable.

Fear is self-created by imagining catastrophic consequences that have yet to happen. It is all in your mind. In fact, you can actually scare yourself by imagining negative and harmful images. But simply stop the catastrophic thoughts and images, and the fear goes away.

REJECTION IS A MYTH

One of the biggest fears that stops people from asking for support, guidance, advice, money, a date, a job, the sale, or anything else is the fear of rejection.

In fact, it’s been known to literally paralyze people. They become tongue-tied and refuse to reach for the phone or get up and walk across the room. They break out in a sweat at the mere thought of asking for what they want.

I have come to realize that the whole concept of rejection is false — that rejection doesn’t really exist. Think about it for a moment. If you asked someone to join you for dinner, and they said no, you could tell yourself that you had been rejected. But think about it. Did you have anyone to eat dinner with before you asked them? No! Did you have anyone to eat dinner with after you asked them? No! Did your life really get worse? No. It stayed the same!

ACT AS IF

One of the secrets of success is to start acting like a success before you are one. Act as if.

If you had already achieved your dream, what kinds of clothes would you be wearing? How would you act? How would you treat others? Would you tithe a portion of your income to your church or favorite charities? Would you have more self-confidence? Would you take more time to spend with your loved ones?

I suggest that you begin to do those things now.

When I decided that I wanted to be an “international” consultant, I immediately went and applied for a passport, bought an international clock that told me what time it was anywhere in the world, printed business cards with the words “International Self-Esteem and Peak Performance Consultant,” and decided I would like to first go to Australia. I bought a poster of the Sydney Opera House and placed it on my refrigerator.

Within one month, I received an invitation to speak in Sydney and Brisbane. Since then, I have spoken and conducted trainings in over 30 countries and continue to expand my business around the globe.

Start acting as if you already have everything you want.

Most people think that if they have a lot of money, they could do the things they want to do, and they would be much happier. In fact, the reverse is true.

If you start by creating a state of happiness and abundance, then do the things you are inspired to do from that state of being, you will end up having all the things you ultimately desire.

You may not be able to fill your closets with expensive Italian suits and designer clothing, but why not invest in one or two really great outfits, so that when you do need them, they are there. When you dress like you have already made it, you will look the part, and successful people will naturally be attracted to you and invite you to participate with them.

The Law of Attraction states that you will attract to you those things that match your state of being. If you focus on having gratitude for what you do have, you will feel rich, and you will attract more abundance into your life. If you focus on what you don’t have, you will send out a message of lack and you will attract more lack into your life.

BE, DO AND HAVE EVERYTING YOU WANT… STARTING NOW!

Remember, the proper order of this is to start now and be who you want to be, then do the actions that go along with being that person, and soon you will find that you can easily have everything you want in life–health, wealth and fulfilling relationships.

Simplify Your Life

Here’s some tips on How to Simplify Your Life:

  • Think about your values and write down those that really matter to you. What is most important? Spending time with family? Accumulating great wealth? Achieving powerful influence? Acquiring possessions? Expressing yourself? Learning new ideas? Experiencing adventure and travel? Maintaining excellent health? Socializing with friends? Contributing to the community? You can’t do them all. Cut out activities that aren’t consistent with your core values.

  • Write a list of goals you’d like to achieve. Focus on doing a few really well, rather than a lot in a mediocre way. You can’t add hours to the day, but you can cut down on activities.

  • Say no instead of yes. People agree to requests from others because they like to please them. Instead, realize that you have a right to say no. Creating plans or policies makes saying no easier. (“I’m sorry, I already have a financial planner.” “I’m sorry, we already have a plan for giving to charities.”)

  • Stop being a slave to communication tools. Do you really need an office phone, a home phone, a cellular phone, pager, fax, e-mail and internet ICQ technology?

  • Give away clerical tasks to others who can handle non-priority activities.

  • Stop spending time to save money. Instead, spend money to save time. Don’t drive across town to save a few cents on a grocery item. It’s not worth your time. Do hire someone to do chores you’re not fond of.

  • Cancel subscriptions to magazines you never get around to reading. Only read one newspaper per day.

  • Cut back on television time. Only watch those shows you decide on beforehand. Circle them in the television-listing magazine. Then turn off the television when the program is over. Cancel extra cable television packages for channels you rarely watch. Go for broke. Give up watching television altogether.

  • Clean out your basement or your office. If you’re not using something, get rid of it. Put an expiry date on items when you can’t decide to keep them or not. Get rid of them when the expiry date arrives.

  • Quit organizations that aren’t contributing to your advancement, your network or your fun.

  • Automate repetitive, clerical, mechanical tasks. For instance, set up automatic bill payments. Include your automatic savings plan as part of your monthly spending.

  • Make a plan for the weekend that doesn’t involve work. Plan to spend more time with your family or with people who make positive contributions to your life. Stop spending time with people who are a drain on your energy or vitality.

  • Carry a smaller wallet or purse. Start by cleaning out the one you’ve got. Get rid of unnecessary credit cards and other clutter that you don’t use regularly.

  • Stop checking up on your financial portfolio every day. Most people invest for the long term. Checking your results daily adds to stress and might lead to expensive and unnecessary changes.

  • Make time for yourself. Set aside time each day to reflect quietly, go for a walk, plan for your future or meditate. Visit the park instead of the mall.

  • Cut back on debt. Consolidate your different debts into one and pay it off. Put your credit cards in a spot where you won’t be able to use them until you’re debt-free. Track your expenses for a month, then cut back your spending on items you don’t need. For instance, pack a lunch rather than buying one at work. Mix and match your outfits rather than constantly buying new ones.

  • Consider renting a vacation home rather than buying. You won’t be burdened by time (and money) spent in maintenance. Also, this allows you to visit a different spot each year.

  • Plan time for a vacation every year. Some people claim “I haven’t had a vacation in three years” as if it was a badge of courage. It isn’t.

  • Cut back on your children’s planned activities. If they have to use a time planner to schedule their activities, and you spend all of your time taxiing them around, they’re probably too busy.

  • Live closer to your work so you don’t have to drive.

  • Take a moment each day to be grateful.

There are many tips as written above for us to not just ponder but taking actions. So, today, pick one of the tips up there and commit to start doing it NOW. Remember: Your Success is In Your Hands, So Take Actions Now!

Power of a Positive Attitude

I am going to ask you to do something very weird right now.

Firstly, I want you to listen to your thoughts. Now tell me, what thoughts fill your head? Would you label them as positive, or negative?

Second, let’s say you are walking down the street with these thoughts. Do you think anyone who would meet you would be able to tell you what’s on your mind?

The answer to the number one question is up to you.

But, the answer to number two question can be pretty generic. Although people will not be able to tell you exactly what you think, they will most probably have an idea of how you are feeling.

Here’s another question. When you enter a party filled with friends, do they all fall silent as if something terrible had happened? Or does everybody there perk up as if waiting for something exciting to happen?

You know what? The answer to all these depends on your frame of mind.

Thoughts are very powerful. They affect your general attitude. The attitude you carry reflects on your appearance, too – unless, of course, you are a great actor.

And it doesn’t end there. Your attitude can also affect people around you.

The type of attitude you carry depends on you. It can be either positive or negative.

Positive thoughts have a filling effect. They are admittedly invigorating. Plus, the people around the person carrying positive thoughts are usually energized by this type of attitude.

Negative thoughts, on the other hand, have a sapping effect on other people. Aside from making you look gloomy and sad, negative thoughts can turn a festive gathering into a sad event.

A positive attitude attracts people, while a negative attitude repels them. People tend to shy away from those who carry a negative attitude.

We can also define attitude as the way of looking at the world. If you choose to focus on the negative things in the world, more or less you have a negative attitude brewing up. However, if you choose to focus on the positive things, you are more likely carry a positive attitude.

You have much to gain from a very positive attitude. For one, studies have shown that a positive attitude promotes better health. Those with this kind of attitude also have more friends. projecting a positive attitude also helps one to handle stress and problems better than those who have a negative attitude.

A positive attitude begins with a healthy self-image. If you will love the way you are and are satisfied, confident, and self-assured, you also make others are around feel the same way.

A negative attitude, on the other hand, has, of course, an opposite effect. So, carrying a negative attitude has a twofold drawback. You feel bad about yourself, and you make others feel the same way.

If you want to have a positive attitude, you have to feature healthy thoughts. This is probably very hard to do nowadays since, all around us, the media feeds us nothing but negative thoughts. A study shows that for every 14 things a parent says to his or her child, only one is positive. This is truly a saddening thought.

If you want a healthier outlook in life, you need to think happy thoughts, and you have to hear positive things as well. So, what can you do? Well, for starters, you could see a funny movie, you could play with children, spend some time telling jokes with friends. All these activities fill you with positive stimuli, which in turn promotes positive attitude.

Although it is impossible to keep ourselves from the negative things around us, you can still carry a positive attitude by focusing on the good things, the positive things in life.

And this positive attitude you now carry can be of benefit to other people. Sometimes when other people feel down, the thing people mostly do is try to give them advice. But sometimes, all they need is somebody to sit by them, and listen to them. If you have a positive attitude you may be able to cheer them up without even having to say anything. Vietnam Team Building
If positive attitude is really great, why do people choose to adopt a negative attitude instead? One who carries a negative attitude may be actually sending a signal for attention. Before you get me wrong, feeling sad, angry, or gloomy is not wrong itself. But dwelling on these thoughts for far too long is not healthy either. There is a time to mourn.

As always, if you are beset by troubles, even in your darkest hour, focus on the good things in life, you will always have hope. Problems become something you can overcome.

You do not have much to lose by adopting a healthy, positive attitude. Studies show that such an attitude actually retards aging, makes you healthier, helps you develop a better stress coping mechanism, and has a very positive effect on all the people you meet every day.

So, let’s start adopting a Positive Attitude today!

Are You Comfortable With Yourself Now?

Are you feeling comfortable with who you are and what you have now? If the answer is YES, then you are in your COMFORT ZONE. Is this good or bad for you? Let’s listen to what Brian Tracy, a world famous speaker and author talks about our COMFORT ZONE…

Now tell me what do you think…

Remember last week your assignment is to find someone that can help coaching you. Have you found your coach already? If not, STOP reading further and go find someone that you respect and ask them to be your coach and in return, offer yourself to be their coach as well. Now this process will help you learn to be a Great Coach. You can click on the below green icon showing “Share This” and then you can email your friends or potential coach to get them to read the Success Moments ezine and then once they understand the purpose, you can ask them to be your coach.

Once you have someone ready, now here are some of the steps that I want you to take:

1. Draft out a contract stating both (if you coach each other) will be responsible for their own success and will put in all your effort to take actions on the tasks or activities that you have committed to your coach. Sign your name on it.

2. Decide what is the duration of your coaching session and how frequent you want to have this session. My suggestion is to start with max. 1 hour every week.

3. Next tell your coach about the goals and what are the immediate goals that you want to achieve in short term (such as 30 – 90 days)

4. Then, you need to commit to do the actions that will bring you towards your goals. It may be something that you are not comfortable to do. Remember the video above, a Leader always find things that are out of their comfort zone to do. So, once you continue to do that, these tasks will no longer be uncomfortable. That’s how you will grow and attain success.

5. So, as a coach you will push your coachee to move out if their comfort zone and achieve more.

This week I want you to do the above 5 steps and let me know whether it works or not. I can tell you it will definitely works but it doesn’t mean that everything will suddenly flow smoothly. You’ll definitely have obstacles but if you persists, you will definitely taste success. Have you seen the motivational video on the handicapped dancers? If not, CLICK HERE to check it out. Lastly, here is a video to show you that we can perform more than what we believe we can do and you just need a coach to push us through to our SUCCESS.

If you have any questions or comments, please do post it here by just clicking the comment icon below.
